Astyra ("we", "us", "our") is an AI-powered occasion makeup intelligence application accessible at this domain. Astyra provides makeup look recommendations based on occasions and skin tones.

2. Information We Collect

Astyra is designed with privacy as a core principle:

Face photos: Your uploaded photo is processed entirely within your browser. It is never uploaded to our servers, never stored, and never shared with any third party. It exists only in your device's temporary memory during your session.
App preferences: Your app settings (skin tone preferences, Pro status, scan count) are stored in your browser's localStorage on your device only.
Analytics: Basic occasion search counts and affiliate link click counts are stored in localStorage on your device only (not our servers). This data does not identify you personally.

🔒 Your photo never leaves your device. Astyra does not use image recognition, facial recognition, or any AI model to analyse your photo. The photo is used only to display back to you during the session. No biometric data is processed or stored.

3. Cookies & Local Storage

Astyra uses localStorage (browser storage) — not traditional cookies — to store:

Your scan count and Pro subscription status
App preferences and settings
Occasion search and affiliate click analytics (aggregated, non-personal)

You can clear all stored data at any time by clearing your browser's site data or using the "Factory Reset" option in Settings (admin users only).

4. Affiliate Links & Disclosure

Astyra participates in affiliate marketing programmes including but not limited to:

Skimlinks — automatically tracks qualifying purchases through skimlinks.com
AWIN — direct affiliate partnerships with beauty brands
Rakuten Advertising — US and international beauty retailers
Amazon Associates — UK and international programme

When you click a product link and make a purchase, Astyra may receive a commission of approximately 4–12% of the purchase value. This does not affect the price you pay. Product recommendations are based on occasion suitability and quality — not commission rates.

Affiliate links are clearly marked with "★ AFFILIATE" and "★ EARN" badges in the app interface.

5. Third-Party Services

Astyra may integrate the following third-party services:

Skimlinks (skimlinks.com): If enabled, their script may place a cookie to track qualifying purchases. See Skimlinks Privacy Policy.
Stripe (stripe.com): Used for Pro subscription payments. Stripe handles all payment data — Astyra never stores your card details. See Stripe Privacy Policy.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you have the following rights under GDPR:

Right to access: You can request a copy of data we hold about you (in this case, minimal localStorage data on your own device).
Right to deletion: Clear your browser's localStorage for this site to delete all app data.
Right to object: You may opt out of affiliate tracking by not clicking product links.
Right to withdraw consent: You may stop using the service at any time.

7. Data Security

Because Astyra stores data locally in your browser and processes photos locally on your device, the security of your data is primarily governed by your device's own security. We recommend keeping your device's operating system and browser updated.

Astyra is intended for users aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
